The Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter is a voluntary membership and assessment scheme that aims to raise employment standards for all Employers across GM regardless of size, sector or geography.

The model for the Charter has been co-designed by business owners, employers, trade unions and employees from across Greater Manchester, and involved two public consultations to develop and agree the proposals.

With a tiered approach made up of Supporter, Member and Advocates, Employers will be supported to raise standards across the Charter’s seven key characteristics of Good Employment.

The Seven Key Characteristics of Good Employment

Membership of the Charter requires employers to demonstrate a commitment to excellent practice in the seven key characteristics.
