The Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter are thrilled to be announcing five new Members of the Charter this month.

Having reached the Membership tier through their commitment to the Good Employment characteristics, these employers are helping to shifting the movement across Greater Manchester. 

We hear from Cllr Elise Wilson, Leader of Stockport Council, announcing the new Members. Celebrating their achievement, she is also delighted to learn a further 7000 employees across GM are benefitting from good employment practice.

These employers have gone through extensive assessments and a technical review panel to become Members, ensuring that each characteristic of the Charter is evident in their practices and policies. This ensures that the Charter's good employment standards are met. The good employment movement does not end at the membership level. Members are constantly working to improve practice and meet new standards as the world of work evolves.

The Good Employment Charter's goal is to raise employment standards throughout the city region and contribute to a thriving and productive economy. Employers can start their journey with the Charter as a Supporter, which asks employers to commit to improving practice, whilst provided with adequate support and resources.
