We’re incredibly proud to welcome nine employers who have achieved full Membership of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter.

In our newest video, Linda March, Lead People Business Partner at Coventry Building Society and Charter Board Member, celebrates these 9 organisations that have gone beyond commitment, proving they meet the Charter’s high standards for good employment.

Becoming a Member is a significant achievement. It recognises organisations who can evidence strong practice across all seven characteristics of the Good Employment Charter.

Please welcome our newest Members:

These organisations employ a total of over 1,600 employees, who are positively impacted by their commitment to good employment.

Representing a wide range of sectors, from transport and construction to charities, finance and global business, these organisations show that good employment is for every employer.

Congratulations to our new Members. Thank you to all our Supporters and Members who continue to lead the way in championing good employment across Greater Manchester.

We’re delighted to be recognised as a member of the Good Employment Charter. As a Manchester based employer, supporting a charter that champions fair, inclusive and responsible employment across our city region is incredibly important to us, and we’re committed to continually learning and improving as an employer.

Helen Robinson, Inclusion & Community Manager at AutoTrader

We are proud to become members of the Good Employment Charter, demonstrating our commitment to providing a good working environment for our team. Our teams deal with complex caseloads continuously, and it is vital that we as an employer provide stability, flexibility, support and consistency.
Being recognised for the work we have put in place and the processes we have is a great achievement, and one that we could not have achieved without support from our entire workforce and board of trustees.

Cat Aherne, Head of People & Operations at Citizens Advice Bury and Bolton

Our people are our power. Everything we achieve for young people starts with the talent, energy, and commitment of our colleagues. I’m passionate about having a clear people and culture plan that not only helps us to continue to build on the solid foundations we have set, but that also enables us to create the conditions for everyone to grow and perform. This will ultimately enable colleagues to deliver the best support they can for young people and The King's Trust.
Being part of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter creates an amazing platform for sharing not only our successes, but the opportunity to learn from other organisations in the local area. Having this recognition means a lot, we want young people to realise their potential in a world where employers make this possible through genuine care, compassion and good employment standards.

Kim Cleland, Director of People and Learning at King's Trust

Becoming a Member of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter means a huge amount to us because people have always been at the heart of Stribe. To be recognised alongside organisations championing good employment across Greater Manchester feels incredibly special for our team and reflects the kind of culture we’re proud to build together.

Receiving the Good Employment Charter is a recognition everyone in Manchester should feel proud of. It reflects the effort that goes into creating a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and heard - and that matters to us.
I've had an incredible 35-year career with Syngenta, and the reason I've stayed is simple: this is a company that genuinely cares about its people. That's what we want everyone here to experience.
