The Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter organises regular Explore Days, which are exclusive events for Charter Supporters and Members. These Explore Days provide an excellent opportunity to learn from various organisations about their best practices related to specific aspects of the Charter. Tilbury Douglas hosted a session on the 25^th of September 2023 which was all about ‘Engagement and Voice’ and ‘Health and Wellbeing’. It was a valuable day filled with insights into their exemplary employment practices and ongoing projects.

In July, we had a Supporters’ Network Event on the importance of health and wellbeing – where we explored ways in which employers can develop wellbeing plans with Good Employment in mind. In May, we had a Supporters' Network Event on Age Friendly Workplaces - where we explored ways in which employers can be more inclusive to older and younger workers, in order to open up their recruitment and diversify their talent. This event ran in collaboration with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. In April, we had a Supporters’ Network Event on the new age of recruitment – where we explored ways in which employers can utilise new and changing technologies in order to improve, speed up, and diversify their recruitment process. In October 2021, we held our first in-person event since March 2020, inviting employers to join us in a discussion of the development of people management skills. Prompted by our recent paper, which discusses the importance, implementation and effect of positive people management skills, we held a roundtable event. This event was the culmination of our ongoing campaign with CIPD North, and Acas North West.
